About Me

"You'll feel so homesick that you'll want to die, and there's nothing you can do about it apart from endure it. But you will, and it won't kill you. And one day, the sun will come out you might not even notice straight away - it'll be that faint. And then you'll catch yourself thinking about something or someone who has no connection with the past. Someone who's only yours. And you'll realize that this is where your life is."

Violet Eyes [REVIEWS]

Title: Violet Eyes
Author: Debbie ViguiƩ
Pages: 195
Series: Once Upon a Time is Timeless
Retelling: The Princess and the Pea

Summing it up: When a storm brings the dashing Prince Richard to her family's farm, Violet falls in love at first sight. Richard also gives Violet his heart, but he knows his marriage is destined to be an affair of state, not of passion. For the king and queen have devised a contest to determine who will win their son's hand in marriage.
To be reunited with her prince, Violet must compete against princesses from across the land. It will take all of her wits -- and a little help from an unexpected source -- if Violet is to demonstrate the depth of her character and become Richard's bride.

Reason I Decided to Read it: Fairy tale based and I needed something short to read. :P
The Good: It was a sweet little story. I like how strong Prince Richard is and I like Violet’s character. It has some twists which I also like. The challenges in this are interesting.
The Bad: I think the princesses should have been more catty; most of them seemed too nice.
The Over-All: It’s a sweet little story, good if you have a couple hours to kill.
Other: Just a few kisses.
Rated: 4.5/5.
