About Me

"You'll feel so homesick that you'll want to die, and there's nothing you can do about it apart from endure it. But you will, and it won't kill you. And one day, the sun will come out you might not even notice straight away - it'll be that faint. And then you'll catch yourself thinking about something or someone who has no connection with the past. Someone who's only yours. And you'll realize that this is where your life is."

Entwined [REVIEW]

Title: Entwined
Author: Heather Dixon
Pages: 480
Summing it up: Azalea is trapped. Just when she should feel that everything is before her . . . beautiful gowns, dashing suitors, balls filled with dancing . . . it's taken away.
All of it.
The Keeper understands. He's trapped, too, held for centuries within the walls of the palace. And so he extends an invitation.
Every night, Azalea and her eleven sisters may step through the enchanted passage in their room to dance in his silver forest.
But there is a cost.
The Keeper likes to keep things.
Azalea may not realize how tangled she is in his web until it is too late.

Reason I Decided to Read it: The cover was really beautiful and it was fairy tale based. ‘Nough said.

The Good: It retells The Twelve Dancing Princesses, one of my favourite fairy tales. The plot is wonderful. It has twists and turns and I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. The characters are also well thought out, I mean, they have over 400 pages to show who they are. My favourite character is Prime Minister Fairweller. I also love the Keeper at the start. The cover is also gorgeous. Plus I think Azalea is a lovely name.

The Bad: It could have been shorter. There were a lot of unnecessary things in it. I also dislike how the girls are named after flowers in alphabetical order (Azalea, Bramble, Clover, Delphinium, Evening Primrose, Flora, Goldenrod, Hollyhock, Ivy, Jessamine, Kale, and Lily) (their late great-aunts are also Mugwort and Buttercup).
The Over-All: If you have some time, give it a shot; especially if you love fairy tales.

Other: I don’t think there are any swears, and only a couple kisses. Oh! And there is a good bit of violence.
Rated: 3/5.
